Vibrant Colombo in Half day

Day 01

Colombo

Transfer via: Private vehicle

Today you will be meet your chuffer guide in your hotel lobby in Colombo around 9.00am take a half day guided city tour to explore Colombo’s colonial legacies including the Independence Square, Gangarama Temple of Colombo, mile-long promenade of Galle Face Green. Stop for taking pictures when drive by the former British Administrative Center. Later you will be drop off to your palace 

End of the service   

Note: Buddhism is extremely respected in Sri Lanka, any disrespectful words or acts may cause deportation or denial of entry, e.g. Buddha tattoos, kissing/climbing/riding Buddha statue, drinking inside a temple, etc.

Note-to enter in the temple premises Women are required to wear long sleeves and skirt or pants to the ankles; men are required to wear long pants, also Must be removed, scarf, Hats, Slipper….

Stop for taking pictures when drive by the former British Administrative Center. Later you may indulge in shopping in Colombo; we will give you 5% discounted voucher to shopping at ODEL, also visit Laksala-Truly handmade design for art & craft

Later you will be drop off to your palace

Today you will be meet your chuffer guide in your hotel lobby in Colombo around9.00am & proceed to Pinnawala elephant orphanage,: No where else are you likely to see so many elephants at close range and in a natural setting. We will catch them bathing in the river at 2 pm (really a treat to observe). The feeding schedule follows it, though FYI, not all that interesting as the elephants are kept in pens. There is a decent restaurant here for those who want lunch (expense at your own) and use of toilet facilities. Later return to Colombo en route stop for an interesting visit to learn a wide range of spices at the Spice Garden, who’s 15-minute complimentary Ayurveda Massage, is also highly recommended. Upon arrival in Colombo drop off to your lovely hotel

One day excursion to pinnawala Elephant orphanage & Kandy

Day by Day Itinerary:

 

Day 01

Colombo /Pinnwala/Kandy/Colombo

Today you will be meet your chuffer guide in your hotel lobby in Colombo around 7.00am & proceed to Pinnawala elephant orphanage,: No where else are you likely to see so many elephants at close range and in a natural setting. We will catch them bathing in the river at 10.00 am (really a treat to observe). The feeding schedule follows it, though FYI, not all that interesting as the elephants are kept in pens. There is a decent restaurant here for those who want use of toilet facilities.

Then head for Ceylon’s old capital of Kandy, en route stop for an interesting visit to learn a wide range of spices at the Spice Garden, who’s 15-minute complimentary Ayurveda Massage is also highly recommended.

After arriving in Kandy visit to the nearby Sacred Temple of the Tooth Relic – Sri Lanka’s most sacred Buddhist shrine, the Puja Ritual held in the temple with all the fanfare, drums, trumpets and brightly colored Monks definitely shows you how special and spiritually important the temple means to Sri Lanka. Later return to Colombo. Upon arrival in Colombo drop off to your lovely hotel
